5 Reasons Why Liberty State Park is an Awesome Location for your NJ Engagement Photos or Wedding Photography
Liberty State Park is one of our absolute favorite spots. First of all, it offers epic views of the NYC skyline. Next, it has plenty of greenery for a few soft and romantic portraits. And finally, it has elements that allow us to get super creative. It truly is the perfect spot for your NJ engagement photos or wedding photography. See photos from a recent engagement session here!
1. NYC Skyline Views
If your a city lover, this is the place for you. If you live in Manhattan, Liberty State Park is great because we can actually feature the skyline in your images.
We love shooting the NYC skyline at dusk. It allows for soft romantic wedding and engagement images while showing off an iconic location.
2. The Concrete Wall
Perhaps our favorite part of Liberty State Park is the huge concrete wall you see featured in so many of our images. Why do we love this wall so much ? It offers shade and a cool modern pop. Wear bold colors for fun and quirky engagement photos or a soft color pallet for something more romantic. Anything works on this blank canvas!

We wanted to create something a little different than the classic line photo for this bridal party. We had everyone spread out and walk towards the bride and groom. The blank wall created a very graphic and artistic look for this wedding photos. Honestly, we can not imagine this shot anywhere else.
When creating a fun and quirky wedding photo, such as this jumping one, we are always looking for an open backdrop. The wall works perfectly for this type of fun and playful bridal party shot.
3. The Train Cars
Want to add a vintage touch to your engagement photos? The antique train cars can do just that! Not only do they add a pop of color to your photos, but they create something unique.

4. The Old Train Station
Although this location was closed for a few years following Hurricane Sandy, we could not be more excited that its re opened! Beyond being a really cool space, it offers cover in case of bad weather or rain on your wedding day. Similarly, it also offers shade and a cool place to go if its to hot.
Because the wedding day was over 100 degrees and insanely humid, the bridal party needed somewhere indoors to shoot. The expansive space not only fit everyone, but had great lighting.
5. The Greenery
Finally, Liberty State Park has plenty of greenery for a few soft and romantic portraits. Even though it is not a park full of lush greenery, there are a few spots that do the trick.
