Crystal Springs Resort Wedding: Jenna + Mike

We always say that a smile is your absolute best accessory and we think that Jenna and Mikes stunning wedding photos are proof! Nina captured their rainy day wedding at the Crystal Springs Resort in Hamburg, NJ.  Make sure to check out their amazing dinosaur cake topper. Oh, and how cute are the girls in their Ellen sweatshirts? ( Jenna is a super fan ! ) We love how they infused a few personal touches into their wedding day!

Wedding Day Style

Despite the rain, their day was actually bright with a pastel color palette that included greens, light reds, blushes, bronze, and golds. The overall feel was earth tones with pops of Spring. If April showers bring May flowers, then the rain brought some gorgeous bouquets by Ibranyi Floral.

This couple loved the “casual elegance” of Crystal Springs Resort, so just wanted to keep it simple and amplify that. Their goal was to keep it feeling homey and comfortable, yet elegant. Overall they were going for an earthy, understated and slightly rustic look. Each bridesmaid wore a differing dress and was complemented with the navy blue suits for the guys. A little rain didn’t hurt anyone as Jenna + Mike cozied up under their clear umbrellas. (For couples planning Spring weddings, take note! You can never fret over a chance of rain if you get yourselves a pair of clear umbrellas. They are the perfect photo prop!).

A Twist on Tradition

This wedding had some great Jewish traditions, such as breaking of the glass and, of course, the Hora and chairlift. However, it’s most noteworthy here that BOTH Jenna + Mike broke the glass. Typically, it is a tradition for just the groom to do it. We love that Jenna did it, too! They kept their day fun and meaningful to them, and it shines in the photos.
