I had the pleasure of being a part of Cherry + Olly’s intimate Greenwich Village wedding this summer. While I love a large wedding with a raging party, there is something so refreshing about a small, intimate wedding. Therefore, when the groom reached out to me about photographing their small NYC wedding, I was immediately excited document their wedding day. I started with prep at the Hudson Hotel, where we did a first look on the roof deck because it’s so stylish. Before heading to the ceremony, I took the couple around Greenwich Village for a few portraits.

The afternoon ceremony was held outdoors at the Jefferson Market Garden. It’s a beautiful city park that feels like a quiet oasis among the bustling city streets. The ceremony was officiated by the groom’s closest friend, and their friends and family gathered around to hear their vows. They even had a friend playing the guitar for the processional, adding a more personal touch to the ceremony. Above all, I fell in love with the couple’s love for each other!

After the ceremony, we walked over to the Greenwich Project for the reception where the couple joined their guests for an intimate dinner. I loved photographing the guests’ and couples’ reactions to the toasts given by the Maids of Honor and Best Men.

There is something so fun about photographing on the NYC streets among the taxi cabs – maybe because of the yellow color pop!

The Greenwich Project is such a cozy space – as a result, I cannot wait to go there for dinner myself one day!
