Shannon and Brendan had the most intimate and gorgeous wedding day. We are excited to share their wedding photos at the Gables in LBI.
The Gables is a historic Inn and restaurant in Beach Haven LBI. It’s only a block from the beach and offers a cozy and ultra-romantic vibe for a wedding. Its quaint, warm environment lends itself to an intimate wedding. In short, we love it there!
Shannon and Brendan chose simple classic details that played perfectly with this stunning location. Shannon’s lace dress was gorgeous, and she was a dream to photograph in it!
The wedding reception was in the romantic outdoor courtyard of The Gables. The twinkle lights and florals made it the most stunning location for photos. This intimate wedding location is quickly becoming one of our favorite spots for NJ wedding photos!
What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?
There were so many memorable moments that it’s really difficult to choose my favorite but one that stands out is of course seeing Brendan for the first time at the end of the aisle. It really hits you in that moment the gravity and sacredness of the ceremony we are about to celebrate as the beginning of our lives together. It’s both overwhelming and wonderful.
The other special moment was our first dance. Our band, the Blaire Reinhard Band, learned French to sing La Vie En Rose just for us. We were so excited to hear them play it that we both really savored that moment. It was beautiful.
If you could give one piece of advice to another couple planning their wedding what would it be?
It can be easy to get lost in the details and, it’s fun to bring all the small touches together to make the whole experience perfect, but don’t lose sight of the most important factor: you’re planning a celebration of your new life together that all of your closest family and friends are there to support and enjoy. The way people feel as part of the planning process, the joy they see and feel at your wedding, and the memories made during the celebration are what stay with you and your guests forever.
What was your favorite part of wedding planning?
Bringing the whole vision to life was exciting but I really loved customizing my dress and choosing our band. Brendan was really into the process of suggesting music that he thought the band would sound great playing and that our guests would enjoy. We spent many nights listening to the playlists that he created, anticipating the big day when we could hear the songs live with all of our guests. The music ended up being a huge hit!
What made you choose to host your wedding at your venue?
We really love that The Gables offered more than a quintessential wedding hall. We wanted something unique that had its own character and charm. The things that drew us to the venue were:
– The Victorian charm of the building and decor that the owners maintain so meticulously. The Gables has so much beauty on its own that it doesn’t need a lot of extra decoration to make it feel special. We brought in our own touches to personalize it but we wanted to keep true to the Victorian character.
– It that allowed for both an indoor and outdoor experience
– The food is delicious! The chef executed our vision of planning a special dinner party. Add in great music, drinks, and a spectacular venue and it created the perfect wedding.
