2021 was hands down the most intense wedding season I have ever had and I could not have asked to end it on a better note with the most perfect wedding. Alyssa initially inquired with me the day I was giving birth to my son and while it took us a while to actually connect once we did I knew it was a match made in heaven. I got to photograph their engagement session and was lucky enough to see them at a few weddings before theirs. I was so excited about this wedding and now I am thrilled to be able to share their beautiful Pleasantdale Chateau wedding photos with you all.
The overall inspiration for the wedding decor was simple, classy, and timeless with a touch of modern. The bridesmaids wore dark emerald green velvet gowns that fit perfectly with a winter wedding in New Jersey. The florals were classic white with touches of white and gold. Thankfully, the weather was perfect and allowed us to go outside for photos and utilize the amazing scenery that The Pleasantdale Chateau has to offer.
Unquestionably, taking Pleasantdale Chateau wedding photos is always inspiring. The venue offers so many amazing rooms with beautiful light and it is truly one of my favorite locations for a winter wedding in New Jersey. It’s warm, inviting, and cozy, all while feeling grand and impressive; a perfect choice for Alyssa + Johns’s wedding day.
The entire day was a dream come true and there were so many special moments, but we would have to say that our favorite was the first look. Seeing each other for the first time that day was a feeling we will both never forget. Walking up to John as he was facing the other way, I had so many emotions running through my body! I was so excited to see him, for him to see me in my dress, and for us to finally have our big day. John says that he was freaking out as he was waiting for me to walk up to him, and couldn’t wait to see me. His reaction did not disappoint and will forever be ingrained in my mind. It was such a surreal moment to look at each other and be like wow, this is our wedding day! Having those few minutes to really take it all in just the two of us was a moment we will cherish forever.
Pick vendors that you trust! Vendors are such a huge part of your wedding day, so it was important to us to choose ones that we fully trusted and that were going to help bring our vision to life. Not only were our vendors so friendly to work with and amazing at what they do, but they genuinely cared about our day. Being able to have full trust in them took away so much stress from the planning process and any stress that I thought I would experience day-of, and it allowed us to just be able to fully enjoy it all without worrying. We can honestly say that we chose the best of the best and we will never be able to thank them enough for making our wedding day exactly what we always wanted! But most importantly, try to enjoy the entire planning process and don’t forget to soak it all in once the day arrives! 🙂 At the end of the day, your wedding is about celebrating your love, and it will be the best day of your lives no matter what!
Our favorite part of wedding planning was just enjoying the entire process together. From the day we got engaged, a big thing for John and I was to really take in and enjoy every part of this exciting time in our life; whether big or small. We were always so excited for each step of planning and we made every little task or appointment a special thing to do together. Even on the Friday nights that we stayed home to plan something wedding-related, or weekday nights that we had a phone call or meeting with a vendor, we always made them memorable moments and things that we looked forward to doing. There is no doubt that we had stressful times, especially as we were nearing the big day, but as a whole, we really just soaked up every minute of planning our once-in-a-lifetime wedding day together.
What made you choose to host your wedding at The Pleasantdale Chateau?
Choosing Pleasantdale Chateau was the easiest decision! We fell in love with the uniqueness of the venue when we were a guest there two years prior, and it was the first venue we called when we got engaged! Pleasantdale just had absolutely everything that we were looking for in a venue, and then some! There were things that Pleasantdale offered that I didn’t even know I wanted LOL! However, an important thing to us was being able to have everything at the venue (getting ready, grounds for photos, ceremony, reception, after-party, and even overnight accommodations). We didn’t want to travel at all on the day of our wedding, and we wanted the same for our guests! Another totally awesome perk that we didn’t see anywhere else, was that you get the entire grounds of Pleasantdale to yourself for 24 hours. On top of all of the amazing things they offer, and the breathtaking grounds, the staff at Pleasantdale is just unbeatable! From the first tour to our last meeting, the entire staff goes all out to make you feel like royalty and to make sure you have the wedding of your dreams. It was truly our dream venue and our guests are still raving about it!
It is actually IMPOSSIBLE to choose just one, but if we had to, I think it would be this one because it is one of the only photos that captures almost every single feeling/emotion you feel on your wedding day. That moment of walking down the aisle with my father, looking at John waiting for me at the end, and all of our loved ones in one room watching, is just so surreal and something we will cherish forever.
