Danielle and Ray’s Wedding Day at the Edgewood Country Club
If there’s one thing that can be said about Edgewood Country Club, it’s that they know how to make a wedding day special. Danielle and Ray were married on a rainy day in May, but that didn’t stop them from having a great time. The staff at Edgewood went out of their way to make sure the bride and groom and wedding party were comfortable, and the indoor space is bright and lovely. Katie was able to capture some amazing photographs despite the rain!
Thankfully the Edgewood country club has a great carport and Caity was able to get the bride and groom and wedding party outside for some photos while keeping them dry. Katie was also able to take advantage of the Edgewood country club’s bright and lovely interior space to get some amazing photographs. All in all, it was a great day despite the rain!
Perhaps, one of the advantages of having a rainy-day Wedding is that you may get an epic nighttime wedding photo. Katie was lucky enough to capture them outside for just a few moments during the reception, and the resulting rain shot was breathtaking. Fortunately, they did not get wet at all thanks to that awesome Edgewood Country Club carport!
They ended the night with a sparkler photo op and it was so fun! We really loved their special end-of-the-night thank-you treat for their guests! How adorable are their midnight snack boxes with classic coke bottles and popcorn?!!
If you’re looking for a beautiful space for your own wedding, be sure to check out the Edgewood Country Club. We were so happy to be able to capture Danielle and Ray’s special day! Keep reading to hear what they have to say about their big day!
What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?
My favorite moment of the day was our first look. For the most part, I was very relaxed all morning and it didn’t hit me until my hair and makeup was all done and I stepped into my wedding dress that this was actually happening. Finally I felt all of the nerves and anxious excitement rush through me. As soon as I saw Ray I was back at ease and the anticipation escaped me. We were so ready to enjoy the rest of the day and night together and just had the absolute best time with our family and friends.
If you could give one piece of advice to another couple planning their wedding what would it be?
Organization and preparation is key. Leading up to the wedding day, little by little I put everything together as soon as I could whether it be cleaning and packaging my frames, labeling boxes or putting the favors together. I made a master list with pictures and descriptions of all the decor the venue staff needed to put out so there was no confusion the day of. This really helped eliminate the need for the staff to ask me any questions as I was getting ready and enjoying the day!
What was your favorite part of wedding planning?
Seeing my visions come to life. What once was a pinterest board and many many photo reels of ideas became a reality. We planned our wedding for over 2 years. At times it felt like the day would never come, but as we got closer and saw things come to life, the day felt real and made us that much more excited for our long awaited wedding day!
What made you choose to host your wedding at The Edgewood Country Club?
My venue was recommended by a coworker. As soon as we stepped in Edgewood Country Club we knew it was the one. From the kind staff, to the gorgeous decor and clean facilities we knew this is where we wanted to say “I Do.” Our coordinator, Eric and Bridal Attendant, Joy were absolutely amazing to work with. Can’t give enough compliments!
After looking at your wedding photos what image do you think you will cherish the most?
It is of course hard to choose just one, so these are my top 3! Capturing our little family, our love for dancing and a magical night!
