Clark’s Landing Wedding :: Marisa + Chris
Marisa + Chris’s Clark’s Landing Yacht Club wedding began in the funky Asbury Park Hotel for their first look. This modern hotel is definitely the ideal place for unique wedding day backdrops because it’s equipped with wall-to-wall bookcases, velvet couches, large windows and even dangling light fixtures. What more could you want for fun photos of your bride and groom? The best thing was when this groom saw his bride walking towards him and they were all smiles. Soon after they embraced, they hopped in their trolley for fun photos around the Asbury Park Boardwalk.
However, this windy April day had other plans. In contrast to the seemingly Summer-y vibe of the day, the cold weather would just not give up while the season transitioned to Spring. For that reason, the boardwalk had this wedding party battling the strongest sea breeze. After some *very* brief photos in front of the abandoned casino and colorful murals, and a quick kiss in front of the Wonder Bar, the windswept couple hopped back in the trolley with their bridal party and headed for their ceremony and reception at Clark’s Landing. It was noteworthy that this bride couldn’t let anything get her down, they were such good sports and went with the flow.
The warm, late-day sunlight embraced the bride, groom and their bridal party upon arrival at Clark’s Landing in Point Pleasant Beach for some intimate portraits on the dock. A fun, but classic wedding of blush tones, navy and gold accents made for an elegant affair. After a sweet ceremony, with the cutest anecdote about Chris’s doctor visit due to lovesickness for Marisa, they joined their guests to celebrate. The newlyweds Mr. & Mrs. Holliday definitely have us saying #happyhollidays!
