Amanda is from Michigan, and she and Eric met after she moved to NYC. She describes herself as someone who loves dainty things and keeping traditions. She wore her grandmother’s rings and brought along special stuffed animal bears: “I have two stuffed bears that I call Grandma and Grandpa. One was made from my grandfather’s favorite sweatshirt and the other was made from my grandmother’s favorite sweater. I was very close to them.”
Keeping things both sentimental and fun, Amanda wore cowboy boots to her wedding and did a line dance with her uncle and cousins.
Amanda and Eric did something totally unique for their first look that I loved – they staged a ceremony! Amanda walked down the aisle with her father to Eric while the entire bridal party stood by their sides and watched. She chose to do this because she understood the importance of the first look but did not want to miss this moment. It was a brilliant idea and a way to get the best of both worlds.
