A Fun and Playful wedding at the Ryland Inn Coach House
Luckily we get to shoot at The Ryland Inn a lot. Each and every time we get super excited because it is one of our favorite venues! We knew Rachel and Connor were the perfect “Off BEET” couple the second we spoke to them. Playful, fun, and carefree is how I would describe them and they definitely had a fun and playful wedding at the Ryland Inn Coach House. They both have smiles that can light up the room and they were wearing that perfect accessory all day long!
Bridal Prep
Wedding day preparations started on site in one of the Ryland Inn cottages. Perhaps one of our favorite images of Rachel is of her in her wedding day robe sitting in the uber stylish bubble chair. Nina loved it so much she had her sit in the chair again once she was dressed!
Rachel and Connor opted not to do a first look, and instead wanted to see each other for the first time during the ceremony. We never pressure any of our couples to do a first look, even though it always means more time for photos. Sometimes the moment a bride walks down the aisle and her groom sees her for the first time is epic. Between dad’s tears and Connor’s face it was clearly the right decision for them.
The ceremony was filled with laughter, emotion, and a very very fun recessional.
The Photo Shoot
Post ceremony, Nina had some time to capture the official wedding portraits of them. One really nice thing about the Coach house is that there are wonderful photography locations everywhere you look. Rachel and Connor made it super easy. Not only were they super relaxed, but you could also see the excitement all over their faces as they took their photos. The end of day summer light made for really beautiful light and airy photos.
The Details
Rachel described the overall style of the wedding as “Barn Chic”. They loved the location and wanted to let the beauty of the Coach House Speak for itself. Therefore they oped for minimal decorations, simple florals and black lantern decorations. The lilac bridesmaid dresses were a nice bright touch for this summer wedding. Rachel gave her bridesmaids custom lilac robes, and Connor gifted unique custom socks to all of his groomsmen.
The Reception
Reception entrances and the first dance can really set an overall tone for the party. Rachel and Connor were playful and fun from the very start. They entered the ballroom wearing sunglasses and immediately went into their perfectly coordinated dance. Make sure to watch the wedding video to see a sneak peek of this! It was an emotional bunch and some of our favorite reception photos were the candids of the reactions. Denny was the DJ and kept them on the dance floor the entire night.
